1. Origin & History of Name The specific epithet ‘Annette Liske’ honors a family member of the renowned German cactus breeder Reinhard Liske. He is known for his meticulous work with Trichocereus and Echinopsis crosses. This hybrid is a descendant of the famous ‘Wörlitz’ cultivar, a lineage celebrated for producing some of the largest flowers in the cactus world.

Morphology This hybrid is a "Trichocereus-type" Echinopsis, characterized by a robust, columnar green body with distinct ribs (costae) and relatively short, manageable spines emerging from fuzzy areoles. The true selling point is the flower: a massive, trumpet-shaped bloom in dark shades of red and orange.
