Stenocereus includes tall, columnar cacti native mainly to Mexico and parts of Central America. Their upright, ribbed stems may branch with age, creating an impressive architectural form suited to desert landscapes and spacious cactus collections. Several species are known for large, fragrant flowers that open at night, followed by colourful fruits in certain varieties. With their strong vertical growth, distinctive ribbing and seasonal floral displays, Stenocereus cacti bring both structure and character to outdoor gardens and mature plant collections.
